Job description New Horizons is a non-profit organization that has been supporting Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities in Lake Havasu City for almost 50 years.
We pride ourselves in community integration with the support we provide through various programs, which include, eight residential settings, day programs, habilitation, and group supported employment.
We are seeking a full-time HR Director, who believes in our mission and vision, and wants to join our amazing team.
Our HR Director will contribute as a strategic partner in the accomplishment of departmental business strategies and plans through initiatives that attract and retain talent, develop employees and leaders, and align organizational goals and objectives.

Key responsibilities include: Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, talent review and succession planning.
Develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies to ensure a robust and diverse applicant pool for all openings.
Provide guidance on interpretation of policies and procedures while serving as known expert in subject matter with a broad knowledge and understanding of HR functional areas.
Provides vision, leadership, planning, project coordination and management for the development of a cost-effective department while concurrently facilitating efficient operations to meet current and future business needs within the organization.
Leading a team of 1 HR professional, will oversee the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation; benefits and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition; company culture; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Monitors and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintain a performance management system which supports the values, mission, culture and goals of the organization and promotes open communication and professional development for employees.
Maintain a competitive compensation and benefits package, by understanding the market, conducting surveys and market research, and developing and maintaining a salary structure.
Works with benefit broker to ensure a high value benefits package.
Develop accurate job descriptions based on the job analysis process; align the positions with the organization’s strategic plan.
Experience: At least five years’ experience in a Human Resources related role with demonstrable knowledge of principles and procedures for recruitment, selection, training, compensation, benefits, employment law, HRIS systems.
Regulatory: Previous experience working in a large organization of 100 employees+ in multiple locations highly preferred.
A valid Arizona Driver’s License, Registration and Insurance at all times.
Be able to pass a criminal background and maintain valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance.

Working Conditions: The Human Resource Director is expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, primarily between the hours of 8am and 4:30pm.
Flexibility and after duty hours may be required depending on schedule demands.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
Travel via airplane, car or train, as appropriate maybe required other offices of New Horizons Center Inc.

Job Type: Full-time Salary: $48,624.
66 - $65,000.
